President

Melissa Wood, the founder of Legal Family Services, has dedicated herself to social services and probation since 2002. She has been on the front lines, witnessing firsthand the critical needs within the industry.

Melissa believes that everyone needs support to navigate the legal system and everyone deserves someone who is on their side. Her journey isn’t just professional, it’s deeply personal. Every interaction, every story, and every setback fueled her passion to create something different.

Claire Mueller

Director of Human Resources

Claire has experience in the child welfare field since 2020 and has a genuine passion for building meaningful relationships and connecting people with purpose. She’s driven by a desire to make a difference by creating supportive environments where teams and individuals feel valued, connected, and empowered to serve families with compassion and purpose.

Jenna has always felt a deep calling to help people, and she brings that passion into her role as Director of Marketing.

She believes in the power of communication to connect, uplift, and create real impact for vulnerable children and families. For Jenna, marketing isn’t just about strategy; it’s about using her voice and skills to make a meaningful difference where it matters most.

Deb Raasch

Director of Services

Deb Raasch is a passionate advocate for community empowerment, serving as the Director of Services at Legal Family Services, LLC. She deeply believes in the power of collective action and has dedicated her career to creating opportunities for positive change within the community. In addition to her role as Director of Services, Deb is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, dedicated to helping empower individuals to navigate life’s difficulties.

With over 15 years of experience in Community Services and therapy, Deb is excited to continue building strong relationships with community members and working towards a more vibrant and connected community. Her commitment to community empowerment stems from her own experiences and a belief that every child deserves a safe place to learn and grow.

Amy Schultz

Training + Development Coordinator

Amy has been strongly passionate about working in and with the community for the past 6 ½ years. After experiencing her own grief and loss, it paved her path to advocating for those who are disadvantaged and to help people find hope after loss. She’s pledged to live her life with integrity and empathy so that she may be a positive force in the lives of others, inspiring them to overcome challenges, discover their strengths, and empower those individuals to thrive.

Alejandra Santoyo

Compliance Coordinator

Working in this field since 2020, Alejandra has learned that her motivation and passion is to give service to her community. Learning about family dynamics and how the structure, balance, and social system can affect the growth and development of an individual are key factors in why she is dedicated to supporting families in the community. Leading with compassion, empathy, and an open heart can be detrimental in the processes of working with people in need, and she is committed to facilitating an environment that promotes progress and understanding.
